In accordance with regulations, all nurses and midwives practicing in Prince Edward Island are required to have professional liability protection or insurance.
Canadian Nurses Protective Society is the professional liability protection provider for all RNs, NPs, and RPNs. NAVACORD is the provider for all LPNs. HIROC is the provider for all midwives.
Obtaining this protection occurs upon initial registration with PEICNM and annual registration renewal.
